With over 40 years of industry leading performance, we value our customers' connected car experience. We've made some updates on our connected detection system software to make your drive optimal.

For all Max 360c owners please ensure you've updated your firmware to version 1.5 before September 12, 2018, to continue to take advantage of speed limit data, ESCORT Live alerts, software and Defender Database updates received via Wi-Fi. It is critical all Max 360c customers this update before September 12th to continue with uninterrupted services. Follow the step-by-step instructions below to update your detector.

For all other detector models (including Max 360) please scroll down to the Detector Tools update section below and download the appropriate tool for your detector. It is not necessary to update your detector's software. You need only remove the current version of Detector Tools from your computer and download and install the current version from the website to continue with uninterrupted service.

MAX 360C USERS WITH ACCESS TO WI-FI

1) If MAX 360c has firmware version v1.4 or earlier, its firmware must be updated. Failing to do so will prevent you from receiving speed limit data, Live alerts, firmware and Defender database updates over Wi-Fi after September 12, 2018. We recommend updating using Wi-Fi.

2) To check the firmware version, hold the MRK and MUTE buttons while powering on MAX 360c.

• IMPORTANT!!! Apple users: If your MAX 360c firmware version is below 1.5, immediately update its firmware using Wi-Fi. Failing to do so will prevent you from receiving speed limit data, Live alerts, firmware and Defender database updates over Wi-Fi after September 12, 2018.

3) To connect MAX 360c to Wi-Fi and update firmware:

• If you have not already, register MAX 360c on our website here. Remember the email and password that you used.
• Install the ESCORT Live app on your smartphone and pair MAX 360c to your smartphone's Bluetooth. Login to ESCORT Live using the email and password used when you registered MAX 360c.
• Connect your smartphone to your Wi-Fi network and go to ESCORT Live's "Wi-Fi Settings" menu to enter the Wi-Fi network's password. After successfully connecting to the Wi-Fi network, the speed limit indicator on MAX 360c will change to white indicating that is receiving data from Wi-Fi.
• After MAX 360c connects to Wi-Fi, it will notify you if a firmware update is available.
  • If a firmware update is available, Update Firmware? (-No/+Yes) will be displayed.
  • Press + to begin the update process. Make sure to stay within range of the Wi-Fi hotspot until the update has completed.

MAX 360C USERS THAT CANNOT USE WI-FI SHOULD MAKE SURE THEIR DETECTOR TOOLS PRO IS V2.3.3.18 OR LATER

Download Detector Tools Pro 2.3.3.18

If your Detector Tools Pro is less than v2.3.3.18, when you run Detector Tools Pro a Window will appear prompting you to update Detector Tools Pro. Select the "Update" prompt.

In order to continue updating your Escort product's firmware and Defender database after September 12, 2018, make sure you are using the latest version of Detector Tools Pro, Detector Tools, and Detector Tools for Apple Mac computers.

When updating your detector, do not unplug your detector from the computer until you receive an "Update Successfully Completed" message.

2. A window should appear which includes an "Update" button. Click the "Update" button.

1. Uninstall your all versions of Detector Tools from your Mac
2. Download the latest version of Detector Tools from our website
